Julia’s practice concentrates on trust and estate litigation, and conservatorship matters. Her practice includes will and trust contests, breach of fiduciary duty matters, financial elder abuse litigation, and contested conservatorships. She represents individuals, families, corporate fiduciaries, private fiduciaries, conservators, conservatees and beneficiaries in all phases of disputes, and seeks to find the best resolution for the client.
Julia has substantial experience in complex commercial, real property and environmental litigation in federal and state courts. Her civil litigation experience includes defending and prosecuting actions involving breach of contract, indemnity, fraud, unfair business practices, trespass, nuisance, negligence, CERCLA, RCRA, CEQA, the Clean Water Act, establish boundary and quiet title, declaratory relief in contract and real property actions, and eminent domain. Julia has also conducted various proceedings before California agencies such as the Regional Water Quality Control Boards, Air Quality Management Districts and the Department of Toxic Substances Control.
Julia graduated from Boston University School of Law in 1998 where she was a member of the American Journal of Law & Medicine. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1992. Upon graduation from law school, Julia began her practice with Higgs, Fletcher & Mack LLP in her hometown of San Diego, California. In 2000, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to work as an associate with Crosby, Heafey, Roach & May which combined with Reed Smith LLP in 2003. At Reed Smith LLP, Julia rose to the rank of Counsel. In 2013, Julia joined Epstein Law Firm.
Julia resides in San Rafael with her husband, Josh, and their two children.
